Certainly, not all struggles in your life are due to your gender; However, there is an invisible layer of stress and complications created by living in a world that, at times, refuses to believe or accept you as you are. These stressors are, of course, exacerbated by other intersecting oppressed identities, such as race, class, ability, etc. Because of these experiences, we can start to feel stuck, or fearful, or not good enough, or feel nothing at all.
